Running on natural gas/biogas is currently the best option in Switzerland for saving on vehicle and fuel costs, says Gaznat SA. In addition to running green thanks to the 20% average biogas component of natural gas sold at the pump in Switzerland, this fuel can save up to 40% compared to gasoline, and certainly the price of a coffee every 100km, while the wide range of vehicles available in the market comes with an entry price of less than CHF 10,000 (USD 10,630).
Gaznat will present and discuss the many economic and environmental benefits of natural gas / biogas vehicles at the 88th International Motor Show in Geneva (March 8-18). Four models will be on display:

- the dynamic Seat Ibiza,
- the Skoda Octavia
- the Seat Leon ST
The Seat Leon ST is an ideal corporate vehicle of which 30 vehicles joined the Swiss ICT company SPIE’s fleet in October 2017.
“With 5 new models of very attractive natural gas / biogas vehicles launched by manufacturers in recent months, such as the Audi A5 and the Seat Ibiza presented on our stand, the range has developed a lot and nowadays it can meet almost all needs.”
“The purchase of a natural gas / biogas vehicle is now the most pragmatic, cost-effective imperatives of sustainable mobility,” says André Räss, mobility product manager at Gaznat.
The Gaznat mobility branch will welcome a Barista on its stand to put the role of a coffee in relation to natural gas / biogas in a fun and tasty way. The coffee calculation: 1kg of natural gas / biogas = 1.47 liter of gasoline at energy content level. For example, the Seat Leon with a consumption of 4kg per 100km for a price of CHF 1.46 / kg at the pump costs CHF 5.84 / 100km. Using gasoline, the same vehicle consumes 5.88 liters per 100km for a price of CHF 1.55 / l at the pump, or CHF 9.11 / 100km. Difference of CHF 3,27 / 100km.
